As you know I’m a crazy OREO fan, the type of person that can use OREO for every single recipe in the world and that tells everybody that anything with OREO tastes a million times better, so when I got the opportunity to work with them I went into full fan girl mode, yes, impromptu dance in the kitchen and excited screams included and that means that today we are going to be making OREO Cookie Balls, but not any OREO cookie balls, we are making Football themed OREO cookie balls (and in case you are wondering they are the best thing you are going to be eating in your life)
These OREO cookie balls can be made in advance too, you can whip up a HUGE batch and then just pop it in the freezer till the end of time, they are not going to last that longer I mean who can have any form of self control where there are treats begging to be enjoyed, but you can definitely make them in advance and then just pop them out, perfect little time saver trick to have in mind
I bought all the ingredients on Walmart, there is a huge aisle full of different OREO flavors, needless to say, I was in heaven.
Yes, that is my hand adding even more OREO to the cart, i couldn’t contain myself
HOW TO MAKE OREO COOKIE BALLS
Making OREO cookie balls is the easiest thing ever, you only need 3 ingredients OREO, cream cheese and semi-sweet baking chocolate, and follow the official OREO cookie balls recipe.
For these football themed ones I’m using Brownie Batter OREO because everything with more chocolate is better right?
Step 1: In a food processor add 36 OREO Cookies, pulse until crumbs
Step 2: In a bowl mix the OREO crumbs, 1 pkg. (8 oz.) of cream cheese and mix until you have a delicious dough
Step 3: Form 48 (1-inch) balls and freeze them for 10 minutes
Step 4: Melt the chocolate and dip the OREO cookie balls in the chocolate
Step 5: Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm
That is it, easy peasy simple pimple. I mean everyone can do it and they taste just like fancy treats from a fancy bakery
HOW TO MAKE FOOTBALL THEMED OREO COOKIE BALLS
Since football is in season, and every once in a while enjoying football treats is mandatory I made some Football themed OREO cookie balls, they require a bit more steps than making the simple OREO cookie balls, but they are pretty easy as well (and let’s be honest they look cute)
To make them start with the basic recipe and then
Step 1: Once they are frozen, shape them like football balls
Step 2: Dip them in chocolate
Step 3: Once they are dipped in chocolate (and when the chocolate is still hot and sticky) roll them in OREO crumbs
Step 4: Decorate them with icing
Once they are ready pop them in the fridge until you are ready to eat them or just eat them right away because they are gong to be incredibly delicious!!!
