There’s nothing quite better than getting together with friends and family to enjoy something delicious, drink good wine and share some good laughs. I mean I’m pretty sure that’s what they holidays are for right?
So when I was approached by Georges Duboeuf Wines to work with them on creating a delicious appetizer recipe for the holidays that paired perfectly with their wines I jumped straight to the opportunity Georges Duboeuf Wines is my favorite wine on the planet and like I told you I believe that a god wine is a holiday staple.
They were gracious enough to send my way 3 of their top wines. The Beaujolais Nouveau can be thought of as the first taste of a new vintage, the first wine of the harvest and an indicator for the quality of that year’s vintage. It’s fresh, fruity and festive! Vibrant bright red fruit is always the signature flavor of Beaujolais Nouveau and it is best enjoyed with friends and family (and food!). But what I love the most is that the harvesting of this wine is done manually, in whole bunches, from vines that are over 20 years old. The wine is produced using traditional vinification methods that include carbonic maceration.
The Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages 2016 is one of my favorites for those laidback get togethers with friends. It pairs well with just about anything but is a great Tuesday night wine that shines next to burgers, pizza, grilled fish, takeout.. And best fo all, all grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts.
For me, the best appetizer you can make is a good salad. salads are great because they are light, so you can eat them and still have enough room left for the main dish and desserts. They are also great because they are usually friendly for almost all dietary preferences and best of all when made well salads are pretty much the most delicious thing you can eat ever.
this salad is definitely those 3 things I mean it’s SO GOOD! and I’m not saying it because I did it, but because seriously it’s mind blowing delicious Best of all it’s a total crowd favorite and super easy to make
and yes, it pairs perfectly with the Georges Duboeuf Wines . If you are not sure about the best ways to pair your wine you can also follow this handy chart
For me, the reason why this is so good is because of the ingredients we are using. When you are making a fresh salad the ingredients are so important because each one of them is holding the spotlight, so go for good quality ones.
The other reason why this is so good and why this pairs so good with the wine? Well, that’s because we are using a wine vinegarette that’s just to die for. Making the integrate it’s super easy and you only use a couple of teaspoons of wine but they really make all the difference in taking this salad to next level amazing.
So pour yourself a glass, invite friends over and nibble on this delicious salad. And let the holiday spirit fill all your home.
