Just for you to know, today we are going to be learning How to make French Vanilla Mocaccino and some cool easy latte art.
Ok I’m in full holiday mode, I mean it’s already cold outside (like seriously I can’t feel my toes kind of cold), the streets are full of string lights and everything just feels a little more happier, holidays are in full swing.
But if you are anything like me you are probably running around like a headless chicken trying to do as many things as possible, work, school, buying gifts, thinking about what things to buy in the first place, attending to parties (and yes, movie marathons totally count as a party duh), you know the usual holiday craziness that comes with, well with the Holidays.
And, don’t get me wrong ..
I LOVE every.single.minute of that craziness but sometimes I need something fast, like 3 minutes fast, like it couldn’t be faster fast.
Because sometimes (ahem most of the times) I forget about special things like I should not forget. Like you know, anniversaries, and Christmas centered dates and that time that I told mom that I wanted to catch up just to forget until she rang the doorbell, the usual.
And other times, I’m just plain and simple to lazy to do a complicated recipe with a thousand steps.
So, today I’m bringing you one of those quick super easy recipes, because less time spent on the kitchen means more time enjoying with your friends, or your family, or your significant other or your cat.
BUT simple things should be super pretty because everything pretty tastes better (or is that just me?) so this recipe looks straight out of a home making magazine or made by the cute barista on the fancy cafeteria that’s on the corner of the street.
This is a French Vanilla Mocaccino – actually this is how to make a French Vanilla Mocaccino – and yes that is a cute cinnamon heart on top (latte art is so last month).
How to make French Vanilla Mocaccino
You only need French Vanilla Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee Creamer, fresh brewed coffee (or the coffee that you brewed yesterday I’m not going to judge), some cacao powder, sugar and a bit of cinnamon.
And once you have those, mix everything together (but the cinnamon) and that’s it!
Super simple, super delicious and it really tastes just like Christmas morning (if Christmas morning tasted that good).
I bought the Dunkin’ Donuts French Vanilla Coffee Creamer on Target (and btw Target has the cutest Holiday things ever, seriously I spent like 3 hours just browsing the ornaments and wanted to take ~everything~ home.) using the Cartwheel app (a super app that Target has).
Once you download it, you get a 5% discount coupon on International Delight Coffee Creamer, Silk Coffee Creamer and Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee Creamer.
How to make latte art at home.
Ok this is technically not latte art, but you don’t need to be a trained barista to do it either so that is a win in my book!
I used a heart stencil (aka a piece of paper with a heart cut out) and then just sprinkled some cinnamon, removed the stencil and voila, the prettiest coffee in the block.
You can do it with every shape under the sun but I highly recommend the ones that don’t have many details (for example my experiment making a snowflake was not the best) plus making a heart send a clear love message (and that’s what the Holidays are all about)
