Don’t you love long weekends? I do, I really really really really do, mostly because I eat… a lot.
Long weekend are definitely made to stuff your face with whatever your heart desires, like pancakes, and oreos, and oreo pancakes!
Specially oreo pancakes.
But to be honest here I love to eat them even more the day after a long weekend
Why?
I don’t know
I can only come out with one logical reason, well actually two
I made a bullet list and all (you know professional)
(also, I just installed emojis which means brace yourselves, the emoji avalanche is coming)
- the day after, you are dreading to go back to work an need a little extra sweet boost
- they are freaking delicious and why on earth would you need a reason??
Obviously, is the second, I mean it’s sooo obvious that I don’t even know why I wrote the first one
So yeah, oreo pancakes sound great but how are they actually made?
First a stack of pancakes, you have to stack them, everyone knows that stacking pancakes instantly makes them cooler and more delicious
Jokes aside, staking them really makes the breakfast (or dinner I don’t judge if you eat them for dinner) extra special
Second, oreo frosting,
layered between the pancakes
More oreo frosting, or some whipped cream, to top your magic creation
And then and to really make it pop some crushed oreos
Optional, a huge cup of freshly brewed coffee
That’s it, not complicated at all (because pancakes should NEVER be complicated)
and extremely oreolicious
Actually, if you have some special occasion coming over, think birthday, aniversary, you-are-so-cute-I-want-to-squeeze-you-day, or whatever you should really just make oreo pancakes, far better than a gift.
Want to step it up a notch? Put it on a nice tray, and some fresh fruit (because health you know) and a cute card and you are done, ready, Listo.
So, that’s pretty much it, what is your favorite pancake flavor??
