So hello again!! and also welcome to the almost ready new site, I say almost ready because as you can see, the about is halfway done, I’m still finding my way with this new theme and there are a couple of images that need some serious re sizing. The perfectionist in me wanted to wait till everything was ready but the cake eater needed an excuse to justify baking lots of sweets treats on a daily basis and stuffing my face with huge slices of desserts for the sake of “recipe testing” . Obviously the cake eater side won because duh who would say no to cake?
So obviously the first recipe I wanted to share was this, a simple no fuss plain vanilla cake, trust me when I say it’s a fool proof recipe, it also is the best plain vanilla cake you are going to eat in your entire life and you need to print it and put in your recipe book for like yesterday because is going to become a staple of your baking repertoire.
Oh and you are just going to need 4 ingredients, yeah you read that right
only 4 probably already sitting in your pantry ingredients..
eggs, self rising flour, butter and sugar (oh and also a bit of vanilla but so little I don’t count that as an actual ingredient) and that’s it
Because we are using so little ingredients in here try to have good quality ones (specially the butter and the eggs) at room temperature. baking with ingredients at room temperature is one of the most important things on the entire world (okok probably not one of the most important things but you get the point), because it allows them to blend in better resulting in a better texture cake #woojoo
Since the cake is not too sweet you can also top it with some frosting, a dollop of nuttella or some strawberry jam. But if you like the simple things in life + who has time for waiting more to eat cake? enjoy it as is.

Hola otra vez!!
