Salted Caramel Apple Hand Pies are the perfect Fall dessert for the Holiday season.
I’m going to be completely honest with you; I used to think that pieces were not my thing, mainly because they were somewhat difficult to make, and also because my crust making skills were, well, let’s say less than ideal.
However this year I made a commitment to make a pie, and I mean a good from scratch pie recipe, so after a lot of testing, cooking, writing things and testing a bit more I came up with these salted caramel hand pies and oh my gosh friends, oh my gosh.
First, they are easy, as in so easy you are not going to believe it. Second, you don’t need to make the crust (more about that in a second), and they are so delicious you’ll want to make them for every meal from now till the end of the world. I’m not exaggerating even a bit they are doughy and flavorful and so chockful of caramel I still can’t believe it.
And the caramel oh my gosh the caramel! This salted caramel is made from scratch right in your kitchen in about 5 minutes which is glorious and dangerous at the same time.
I mean with the great power of knowing how to make salted caramel in less time than it takes to say salted caramel comes to the great responsibility of not eating it every day by the spoonful (or you know just eat it because who cares and we are in fall).
But back to the little magic crust that I told you to abut. These salted caramel apple hand pies look so good and taste so delicious because of the crust.
They are made with Pepperidge Farm Fuff Pastry which is just the bomb.com and a total life saver. You can find it in the frozen aisle of your local supermarket.
They also have superb quality, and they fluff up beautiful + it’s super easy to use.Y ou just basically need to roll the dough and call it a day, yes it’s that easy.
Pepperidge Farm also has a site chockful of fluffy recipe ideas, so I really advise that you go take a look at it ASAP and try not to drool with everything there.
