This cherry margarita is jam packed with fruity flavor and packs a punch of refreshing mint. Serve it ice cold.
I love love love a good margarita recipe. The main reason? You just can’t say no to a glass full of flavor that packs a little boozy punch and that is refreshing at the same time. Also, from the cocktail shaker perspective, I love how easy it is to whip up one and how much of a crowd favorite it is. You can’t go wrong with serving it at your next party.
And since I like margaritas so much I’m always looking for new and different recipes, enter this red cherry margarita that’s, simply put, TO DIE FOR.
Seriously friends this is good, mind blowing good.
It’s packed with lime juice
It’s chockfull of mint but doesn’t taste like toothpaste
What else can I ask for?
The secret ingredient is Agavero Orange. Agavero Orange is a tequila based liqueur that is the perfect addition to any margarita recipe. It’s Gran Centenario Tequila’s perfect match, and it’s your dance partner, party pleaser and top-secret ingredient. Basically, it’s perfect.
The other thing that for me is a must when making a good margarita recipe is using a good quality tequila. I love Gran Centenario tequila because it’s made with high-quality ingredients which results in a high-quality cocktail.
I always have these two liqueurs in my bar cart so I can have them on hand at all times and to whip up different cocktails. While they are my go to for margaritas, I also use them for pretty much every cocktail that needs an extra punch and a dose of flavor.
And finally, back to this cherry margarita, you can either use fresh cherries or frozen ones. I personally went with frozen ones to give this margarita a little bit more of body (you kind of get that frozen result that’s totally refreshing).
