What is on an all-American club subway?
The All-American Club from Subway is a sandwich of classic American flavors. Oven-roasted turkey, Black Forest ham, and hickory smoked bacon are combined with tomatoes, lettuce, red onions, and cheese – all encased in two slices of Artisan Italian bread for an explosion of flavor!
Subway’s turkey sandwich has been reformulated with a deli-thin, a new and improved ingredient. Yet, according to an anonymous employee, the meat remains unchanged from before – just sliced more thinly! As always at Subway, if you’re already a fan of their sandwiches, this addition guarantees something familiarly enjoyable for your taste buds.
The All-American Club Subway Review!
PapiEats’ recent review of the All-American Club sandwich could have been more enthusiastic. After a haphazardly cut footlong, he labeled it “decent.” Similarly, Business Insider summarized their thoughts to only “It’s a sub.” This classic club failed to achieve excellence in taste.
While The Washington Post remarked on the uninspired nature of Subway’s All-American Club, noting its similarities to typical diner fare from decades past, some enthusiasts still saw merit in it. Those already fond of the chain may find something enjoyable about this new rendition; however, those more skeptical will not be pleasantly surprised by the humble sandwich.
And what do I, a random internet stranger, think about this Subway sandwich?
I honestly have to agree with Business Insider. It’s only a sandwich. Is it bad? Not really. Is it good? Not really. It’s an average sandwich and definitely nothing to write home.
All American Club Nutritional info
Subway’s All-American Club sandwich offers a hearty helping of protein and calories, with 25 grams in the six-inch version – doubling to 50 grams when ordered as a footlong.
However, both sizes have high levels of sodium content that exceed recommended daily allowances as set by the American Heart Association; 350 milligrams for 6″ servings and 1210 milligrams for their more practical option.
This hearty meal packs a considerable nutritional punch, boasting 15% of your daily Vitamin A and C and 70% iron content. So feel free to indulge in this sandwich that could redefine Subway’s image!
How much will you pay for this Subway sandwich?
A review of the All-American Club from Subway reveals a wide range in price for its two available sizes.
I paid $8.39 for my footlong sandwich, but Johnny Clyde’s YouTube review said he spent #6.99 for the six-inch version. The Washington Post declared they hadn’t paid more than $6 for any inch sandwiches tried, coinciding with Fast Food Price prices listed at $5.79 and $8.9, respectively. So I’m honestly not sure about the actual price you’ll get in your local store.
So what’s a good summary? It’s a fun new addition to Subway’s menu, but nothing out of the ordinary.
