Unlike Almond flour, not a lot of processing is required. We need whole almonds with their skin intact for making the almond meal. Using an appropriate grinding machine, you can grind whole almonds to an appropriate size (the same size as a large grain).
Since the skin is intact in making this product, the resulting product usually has a little bit of brown mixed with a majority white color.

So, in short, the Almond meal might be a little more beneficial than the Almond Flour.
Uses of Almond Flour vs. Almond Meal
The sole difference between the two is their different texture. That’s why when you want something that requires flour-like consistency, you can go ahead with the almond flour.
When you need slight grain-like consistency, such as the breadcrumbs, you can use the almond meals.
If consistency is not the issue, you can use either of these products without any problem.
For example, you would be better off using almond flour if you make bread since it contains finer particles than an almond meal!
