But what is chamoy

Chamoy is a delicious Mexican sauce that’s popular in traditional Mexican street foods. It’s a condiment that really targets all parts of your palate and it’s one that’s incredibly delicious.

The sauce it’s made with pickled fruits, lime and salt and it’s slightly tangy, spicy and salty.

It pairs incredibly well with fresh dishes like fresh fruits. You’ll find it a lot of times served with fruits like mangoes and pineapples but it’s delicious with even watermelon and other fruits like that.

If you are in Mexico you can also find it served with paletas, popsicles and chips. It’s a very common condiment.

And if you are looking to incorporate some chamoy to you pantry then keep reading because we are sharing all the best chamoy sauce options you have available.

Tajin chamoy sauce

Tajin is probably one of the most popular chamoy sauces you can find and within reason! It’s incredibly delicious and you can find it almost everywhere.

Tajin was first launched in Mexico in 1985 and quickly became a hit and an international branded. It landed in the US market in 1993 and became a staple around Mexican tables.

The key to their success is the use of all natural and high quality ingredients and you can find thousands of recipes that incorporate it.

Cocktails featuring tajin are pretty common at upscale Mexican inspired bars but it’s also delicious used as a veggie or fruit topping.

Amor chamoy sauce

If you have been anywhere close to TikTok or Pinterest then chances are you have seen this chamoy sauce brand.

This one became incredibly popular with the mangonadas hit. Mangonadas are a spicy and refreshing drink made with mangoes and tajin. The most popular brand to use when making mangonadas? You guessed, amor!

This chamoy brand is slightly sour and perfectly spicy so it balances really well the sweetness from the mango.

I also love to ue it with fresh mango as a refreshing Summer treat!

El Chilerito chamoy

El chilerito chamoy is a totally authentic chamoy sauce that’s a favorite among many. Made following the classic recipe it has a spicy kick that’s to die for.

Best of all? It’s zero calories! Making it the perfect choice for those that are following a diet or looking for health conscious choices.

And if you are looking for a healthy treat that’s perfectly salty and spicy then popcorn + chamoy is the perfect combo you’ll love.

Moralitos chamoy sauce

Moralitos is a sugar free chamoy sauce option that’s really good and the fact that’s sugar free also makes it a great choice for those that are looking for health conscious choices.

However don’t confuse sugar free with flavor free. Moralitos packs a whole lot of flavor! This is really sweet and sour and spicy and has the perfect ammount of heat to pair with anything you like.

A michelada using moralitos chamoy is really delicious, for example. But I even love to add it to my street corn.

Suprema

Ok Suprema is not technically a chamoy like tajin or amor are. I mean it’s still a chamoy but it’s more a chamoy dip rather than a chamoy sauce.

However I still felt that it needed to be added to this list.

Suprema chamoy dip is made with a unique combination of mango, chamoy and chili peppers and it’s mind blowing good.

It’s the perfect addition to a margarita. Just hear me out, rim your margarita glass with this spicy dip and thank me later. I swear it’s that good.

And just like the other chamoy sauce options I shared on this list, this one is also incredibly good with mangoes, pineapples and salads.

So, what do you think about this list with the best chamoy sauce options? Which one do you think will be your favorite?
