As you probably realized, with this post, and this I’m in #partymood so today I’m bringing you an easy peasy birthday cupcake tutorial to continue with the trend
yep part craft part recipe
I’m excited just by writing that
Like Reeeealllyyyy happy
because sprinkles of course, and also because these are birthday cupcakes (best thing in the world cause cupcakes + funfetti) topped with frosting (also best thing in the world) and topped with more sprinkles (which obviously are also the best thing in the world and with MINIATURE PARTY HATS!!!!!
I’m going to let that sink in
because I’m pretty sure you are dying of some sort of cuteness overload, at least I’m dying of it
cupcakes with sprinkles and miniature party hats
oh my gosh I’m in heaven
Aaaaand making those hats cost, nothing, zero, nada
nothing beats a good deal ma friends
(btw this is the moment were my pockets are singing because free stuff makes them happy)
No you don’t have to steal anything from craft shop
no you don’t have to steal a thing from your mothers craft cabinet
heck you don’t even need to use anything form you craft cabinet (well maybe something but definitely not much)
because you are going to use paint chips
which are like the most perfect things in the whole world and beyond (together with sprinkles and cupcakes and frosting and the rest of the things that are the best thing)
I went in a secret mission to Walmart, took my favorite colors and head out, with a full cart of groceries of course but also with enough paint chips to paint my bedroom just with them
I’m not gonna lie, I felt kind of guilty/awesome at the same time (even though they are free and everyone expects you to grab them), until I finished up the miniature hats and then I just felt awesome/awesome
Like I told you making them is easy peasy, like eeeeeasy, like so easy it only has like 4 steps or something like that
after the hats were made I whipped up the cupcakes, decorate them with frosting, tossed as much sprinkles as they could possibly hold and then obviously make them party ready with their tiny hats
and that was it, they will instantly light up every moment of your life/party/gathering/just because
So Birthday Cupcake Tutorial
Mini Party Hats
Step 1: make the paint chip a square
Step 2: With the help of a cup/glass/dish draw a half moon, from one of the corners to the other. Cut it so it looks like in the picture
Step 3: Stick one side to the other side with a bit of glue. Let it dry. While it’s drying you can help it keep its shape with a bobby pin
Birthday Cupcake Recipe
I used this chocolate chip cupcakes recipe but substituted the chocolate chips for sprinkles
I used my vanilla frosting recipe
And topped with sprinkles
