Carbs in Cheese: The full list by cheese type!

Following a keto diet and wondering how many carbs in cheese? In this post we share how many carbs each different cheese variety has!

The ketogenic diet focuses on limiting carbs intake while consuming food rich in fat.

Naturally, your body relies on carbohydrates to generate energy. In a ketogenic diet (keto), the default source of energy changes from carbohydrates to fat. In this process, you lose weight! As for the protein intake, only a moderate amount is allowed.

Based on the keto diet guidelines, cheese can be considered the best food that is 100% keto-friendly!

Cheese is known to contain high fat but a low amount of carbohydrates. On top of that, cheese can provide fantastic flavor, texture, and taste to your meals!

But just because cheese fits the requirement for the keto diet, it doesn’t mean that one starts to consume a high amount of cheese.

Because cheese contains many calories and even carbs in a small amount, if you start to consume a lot of cheese, even the tiny amount of carbs will eventually add up!

Saturated fat is also present in high quantities in most types of cheese. That’s why one should consume cheese in a moderate amount.
