This is it, this is the ultimate level of comfort food. We are talking about chili bread bowls here you guys. Bread bowls full of delicious hot chili, diced tomatoes, beans, and full of melty cheese. This is the kind of food that makes you fall in love with it and that you want to eat all day every day because it’s warm and comforting and so full of flavor it almost hugs you when you eat it.
Also, can we talk about the fact that is fast? Like so fast to make you can actually consider it an under 20 minutes weeknight dinner. You know those hectic weeknights when all you want to do (have strength/patience for) is opening a can and calling it a day? Well, chili bread bowls are the perfect dinner to make in those moments.
But it’s especially great because no one is actually going to realize these chili bread bowls took less than 20 minutes to make. And you are going to end up looking all professional chili maker and all homeowner and all put together. And know what? Make it double! and have enough chili for next day’s lunch.
Why chili bread bowls, why are you so perfect and delicious?
This is life my friends, this is what makes hectic days taste like home cooked meals. No unnecessary ingredients, no difficult toppings, no crazy difficult instructions or too long to care prep steps. Just the basics to keep it easy and indulging and full of cheese in all it’s glory.
This my friends, this is what helps people like you and I win at life.
Seriously, when you have at hand ConAgra products and some loaves of bread creating a delicious, fast, stress-free dinner is easy (read: like really easy) What else can a girl ask for?
Oh I know! A super cool hack that cuts even more of the – almost nonexistent – prepping time.
Look, I found this on YouTube a couple of months ago and I literally HAD to try it at home. I was almost completely sure that it was going to fail miserably because it seemed so crazy easy and so crazy good that well it was crazy. But guys this thing WORKS! In capital because it’s just mind blowing.
You can literally peel a whole clove of garlic in like 30 seconds.
I like to call it magic
You only need two bowls, your clove of garlic and that’s it. Place the clove of garlic in one bowl, cover with the other bowl and shake it. Shake shake shake and that’s it. Peeled.
Maybe you have to do a second round if you have an especially stubborn one but seriously so easy I want to buy garlic by the dozen just to be able to do it.
So again to the chili bread bowls, go make it, go make it asap and call this a dinner success. Leave them as is, top with an extra layer of cheese, add some sliced avocados, or maybe a dollop of sour cream. That’s the beauty of these chili bread bowls, you can customize it to fit your taste (and what’s in your fridge)
Can I have them for every dinner from now on? I mean even the dish is edible so no need to wash them after eating, just thinking about it makes me all sorts of happy.
