Chocolate Chip and Pecan Granola

chococolate chip and pecan granola

Today we are going to be talking about granola and morning routines!

But before jumping in I neeeed to confess something, I’m writing this post because I really really love peaking inside people days to know what they are doing, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone on this one! That’s why Snapchat is so popular! So I though about writing a bit about my morning routine and since we are talking about mornings share a easy peasy granola recipe that doesn’t need oven (perfect for summer right?)

Well I get up suuuuper early in the morning, I really like getting up before the sun rises, but obviously when my alarm goes off I need to sleep 15 more minutes, after those (literally) 15 more minutes I’m ready to conquer the world.

Then I just go to my kitchen and put some soft music, I like having a slow morning because you feel as if you are waking up in stages (try it, is the best!), and the prepare something to eat. Because I have a HUGE sweet tooth and eat a ridiculous amount of cake during the day I like having healthier foods in the morning, so this chocolate chip and pecan granola is perfect for that. It’s packed with whole grains, good fats and a healthy amount of dark chocolate chips because we all know that chocolate is a diet staple right?

Chocolate Chips and Pecan Granola

After having breakfast I’m officially a functional human being, so I just change clothes, wash my face and put on as much sunscreen as I possibly can, I have very sensitive skin so even the tinniest bit of sunshine burns me, and then I wear a bit of foundation, or something with a bit of color, basically because 1 I’m extremely pale so my skin looks flushed for almost nothing, and 2 because when I was a teen I had the worst case of acne ever that left behind a couple of scars that haunt me to this day. Just recently I discovered this sun protecting lotion that works as a 2 in 1 and LOVE it, I bought it at Clinique and because it’s specially formulated for sensitive skin is not heavy at all and really allows your skin to breath, which is a major plus for the summer months

Anyhow enough about lotions and sunscreens and lets talk about

Chocolate Chips and Pecan Granola
