I’ve been dreaming for days with Cinnamon apple cake, but before you tell me that we are still in summer let me tell you why
A couple of days ago the temperatures started to drop, I got happy, then they dropped a bit more, I got happier, put on a sweater and even a pair or real pants (gasp!) and started my Fall recipe journey (which means I started day dreaming about pumpkin spice lattes and apples) Today however I feel in the middle of the Sahara, sand storms and all yes it’s hot, but lets not talk about how I’m melting over here and instead lets talk about take-me-to-fall recipes, so I can focus on that and not in the fact that I want to tape ice cubes to my body (tmi?)
So we are going to be talking about apples
and cinnamon
and cake
and frosting
you know, the usual around here.
Well not that usual because its the first time we are going to be making cinnamon apple cake
This is the perfect cake to get in the fall mood
The leaves changing colors, the drop of temperatures, the cool boots, light sweaters, the pumpkin everything and the (pumpkin) lates might be like the highlight of the season but apple is like the queen of fall
It even has a crown!
well more than having a crown it kind of looks like a crown
if you watch it with one eye closed
and then kind of close the other one too and pretend that you saw a crown instead of an apple
but that’s not important, the point is it is the queen of fall (pumpkin being the king in case you are wondering)
And cinnamon
Oh boy lets not start with cinnamon
Because it doesn’t need any more explanation, fall tastes just like cinnamon
and this cinnamon apple cake tastes like fall.
So this is the best cake ever because it has both things! BOTH!! the base is made with real apples, the real deal you guys
And the frosting!! Oh my God the frosting! It has the cutest cinnamon freckles ever, and its pretty delicious too (obviously!)
So put on some fall tunes ( i don’t think they are actually a thing but who knows) and start baking the warmest sweetest cinnamon apple cake
The vanilla frosting recipe is here

Y nuestra cinnamon apple cake sabe a otoño
