Dunkin Donuts Bagels Ranked

Everything bagel

If you are a savory type of person then this is the bagel for you. The everything topping has sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion and garlic and it’s honestly really good.

This is the type of bagels that pairs perfectly well with a thick slab of cream cheese and a large coffee.

I feel that the garlic and onion that’s used as a bagel topping really shine on this one which gives it that savory kick. It’s perfect for a hearty breakfast or an afternoon snack. Hey it can even work a dinner if you are in a pinch.

Cinnamon raisin bagel

Now, if you are more of a sweet type of person then forget about the everything bagel. The cinnamon raisin one is where it’s at.

Sure, not everyone is a raisin fan but if you don’t mind raisins (I actually like them) this is the perfect bagel to satisfy your sweet cravings.

What I like about this one is that’s perfectly sweet without feeling like a dessert. Something that can happen with donuts or muffins.

Multigrain bagel

This is the bagel I ask for when I’m craving something more filling. While it’s still a bagel (and definitely not a healthy breakfast per se) the multigrain helps you feel full longer.

I also love how it has some earthy flavor notes so that’s really good as well.

Plain bagel

The plain bagel is definitely not the number one but it’s also a good alternative when you don’t want any frills.

I also think is a really good bagel to order when you are bringing bagels for a crowd. That way there’s something for everyone, even picky eaters.

The plain bagel is, as the name says, plain so it has no other toppings but it’s the perfect white canvas to fill with all the cream cheese your heart desires.

Sesame bagel

While I love a good sesame bagel from time to time I feel that the everything bagel is better and more fun.

However if you don’t dig things like onion or garlic then this is a really good option too.

Poppyseed bagel

I have the same feeling with the poppyseed bagel as I have with the sesame bagel. I mean it’s good but the everything bagel is better.

When it’s a good option? If you are buying bagels to take home and make your own breakfast spread!

Why? you ask. Well, this bagel is delicious with jams, jellies and preserves! It’s the type of bagel that goes amazing with sweet spreads that aren’t just the cream cheese filling you can get at Dunkin.

Onion bagel

Are there better bagel alternatives at Dunkin? Yes. Is this still good? Also yes.

I’m not a huge onion fan which is probably one of the reasons this is rated lower than the poppyseed and sesame bagels. But if you do like it then you’ll probably like this one.

Just keep in mind that most bakeries have a better onion bagel alternative.

Wheat bagel

Multigrain and plain do a better job at being plain bagels than the wheat bagel.

So if I were you I would probably look to order one of those. The whole wheat bagel has a stamp from the Whole Grains Council, which means that each bagel has at least half a serving of whole grains (really good!) but the multigrain bagel also has it and still has a more interesting flavor profile.

Dunkin Donuts bagel bites

Dunkin also has stuffed bagel minis! They are exactly what you are imagining. I bagel hole stuffed with cream cheese.

These come in a pack of two making it the perfect breakfast to eat on the go. They are also served warm which makes the cream cheese super soft and delicious.

Everything stuffed bagel mini

These bagel minis have the everything bagel topping so if you like those you’ll probably like this one too.

Plain stuffed bagel mini

Just like the plain bagel the plain stuffed bagel mini is a total hit if you are bringing bagels to the office or get together.

They pair incredibly well with the cream cheese stuffing (and trust me, they are SO stuffed!) and are delicious served with one of the popular Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate drinks or any coffee.

Dunkin Donuts bagels calories

Now that we know all the fun Dunkin bagel flavors it’s time to talk about nutritional information.

So how many calories are in a Dunkin Donuts bagel?

It depends on which one you are ordering.

  • Everything bagel: 340 calories
  • Cinnamon raisin bagel: 320 calories
  • Multigrain bagel: 350 calories
  • Plain bagel: 310 calories
  • Sesame bagel: 350 calories
  • Poppyseed bagel: 340 calories
  • Onion bagel: 330 calories
  • Whole wheat bagel: 320 calories

Keep in mind that’s the calorie count for just the bagel. The cream cheese adds around 100 more calories per bagel.

What’s the healthiest Dunkin bagel?

According to nutritionists (and the internet) the healthiest bagel is the multigrain bagel.

While it has 350 calories and it’s definitely not the lowest calorie option available in the bagel menu it comes with 8 grams of fiber from the whole grain.

That’s 30% of the daily recommended amount of fibre you should have. So it’s a healthier alternative to have on the fast food chain.
