Golden milk meets all of those requirements and more. It is healing, super creamy, full of flavor and very rich. It’s also loaded with health benefits so you really can’t ask for more.
Benefits of golden milk
Golden milk, also known as turmeric tea or turmeric tea, is very famous in Ayurvedic food for its properties to reduce inflammation, which has made it very popular as an assistant in the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
Curcumin, which is the bioactive compound in turmeric, is responsible for most of the benefits of golden milk.
It is also a powerful antioxidant that helps fight free radicals that cause oxidation and aging.
As if that were not enough, it helps prevent colds and enhances the immune system. It is truly a super drink full of benefits.

This is my favorite part, making golden milk is TOO easy. And yes, I put it in all caps because it is one of those things that’s so easy you will wonder why you didn’t do it before.
You only need:
- 1 cup of your favorite milk
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
Combine both ingredients in a small saucepan and heat until everything is incorporated and hot to the touch and you’re done.
Yes, that easy
Tips to make the best golden milk that exists
Since it is such a simple drink, you can feel free to explore and be as creative as you want.
I like to add a couple of extra ingredients to enhance the flavor and its nutritional properties.
For example I love using ginger, it gives it an extra spicy touch that is incredible.
I also add a pinch of pepper which helps in the absorption of curcumin.
And finally I like to put 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in it too to help it foam.
There is nothing richer than a very sparkling turmeric latte and we achieve that thanks to coconut oil.
