Hello caramel lovers!! I don’t know about you but there is something about caramel that wins my heart every time that I have it so after checking this pictures of salted caramel cupcakes on Pinterest I started thinking abut all the ways that I cad add caramel to a cupcake.
Obviously the first options were making a caramel frosting and adding some caramel syrup, but honestly it was not enough I needed more caramel I needed a caramel explosion, sooooo CARAMEL STUFFED CUPCAKES
Yes, this is way beyond caramel and a cupcake perfect for serious caramel lovers. And since it is so delicious and I believe that stuffed caramel cupcakes should be available for everyone (and also because I really love creating how to posts) we are diving into how to make cupcakes stuffed with caramel (hint: it is crazily easy)
These cupcakes are really really really a caramel explosion, like a hue caramel explosion, like seriously they are so full of caramel they can’t fit a drop more, and that makes them extra delicious and extra perfect. I also added some caramel syrup as a topping because, duhh caramel! and some sprinkles because, well because sprinkles are cute and they can be used all.the.time.
More on the how to make cupcakes stuffed with caramel is a little below in this page so obviously keep reading
Everything from start to finish takes around half an hour,
The steps by steps are way beyond easy, seriously ~easy~ and the result is mind blowing delicious + everyone is going to be like “OMG where did you buy them? I need them in my life!”, and you can be sitting there all interesting half smiling with a cupcake in your hand saying “oh I just whip them up” while everyone thinks that you are the coolest person in the planet.
Ok maybe things aren’t going to happen like that BUT you will have cupcakes and they are delicious, that is a fact
How to frost cupcakes to make them look like a sundae
Also, I decided to frost them without pipping bag because sometimes there is no time for setting up a piping bag + cleaning it (the struggle is real)
So, for these we use a spoon, frost them with a little (ok huge) dome of frosting and then and some syrup and then sprinkles and the start thinking that they should be called sundae cupcakes because they look just like a sundae and then realizing it can be ind of lame and then eating the whole batch of cupcakes and forgetting about everything because they taste like glory and unicorn dreams and rainbows and caramel deliciousness *dances with excitement eating all the cupcakes* Bottom line frost them with a spoon, easier, faster just as cute.
How to make cupcakes stuffed with caramel
Step 1: Mix all the ingredients until the batter is shinny, divide in cupcake liners and bake
Step 2: Once they are baked stuff with a huge caramel
Step 3: Whip up the frosting and frost them with the help of a spoon
Step 4: Decorate with caramel syrup + sprinkles
And that is it, easy right? I prefer to add the caramel after they are baked to ensure that the middle is so full of caramel that it’s like a explosion.
If you bake your cupcakes with the caramel inside the caramel is going to melt and is going to become a part of the batter, delicious too but less caramely. If you don’t have actual caramel on hand you can check this caramel cupcake recipe, she uses caramel sauce and they look delicious too.
