Today I’m bringing you a super spooky Halloween recipe! Zombie Cupcakes!!! Uhuhuhu (that was me trying to make scary noises but not quite getting it right, anyhow stick with me)
I LOVE Halloween, like seriously is one of my favorite days ever, like Christmas, and Thanksgiving and my birthday and whatever other day you can find what can I tell you I’m a sucker for Holidays, but Halloween has a special place in my heart, because spooky everything!!! but fun and cute spooky creepy spooky is not my cup of tea because, how can I confess this? I get scared really easily, like seriously easy and I don’t like being scared. I just, don’t, ugh I’m getting scared just by thinking about getting scared, so I will go back to think in funny, cute not creepy at all kind of spooky sweet treats
you know that I love cupcakes, and I love making flower shaped cupcakes, so when I was thinking on a sweet treat to make for Halloween I knew, deep in my heart that I had to make dead flower cupcakes, but dead flower is not that interesting and zombies are pretty cool so guess what?
zombie cupcakes came to life!
and they are rad.
and SO DELICIOUS!!
but best of all so easy
like you are not going to believe how easy, like almost no bowl easy
because I have a little secret
I made them with Betty Crocker™ cake mix. Best. Decision.Ever
and know what else? I didn’t made the frosting either, I used the Betty Crocker™ frosting, so one less thing to clean (awkward happy dance over here)
These cupcakes are made with chocolate fudge Betty Crocker™ cake mix and then topped with some vanilla Betty Crocker™ frosting with a few drops of red, yellow and blue food coloring (to get that waking up from the death color) and then I went beyond that because zombies need to come out of somewhere am I right?
So I made some tombstone cupcakes too!!!
and they are SO awesome!!! because they look oh so decorated and that you slaved hours in the kitchen but guess what, you didn’t because you used PEEPS® Brand Marshmallow
I bought a variety pack and it came packed with pumpkins, ghosts, cats and tombstones, I tried to take a picture them all but I ate them, I can’t be trusted around PEEPS®
I bought all what I needed for this recipe on Target, and that store is like pure magic, like I wonder how they do to get all the things that you didn’t knew you needed in one place with all the other things that you do need, and all the other things that are mandatory and then put a mashup of those things in a bin and sell it for one dollar!! Oh my gosh could you excuse me a second? I need to run to Target again, Btw you can find the PEEPS® on the Halloween aisle 😉
so I’m going to give you the recipe and then a super fun printable to go with it, that way you can pack your cupcakes as a gift and give it as a card, or maybe frame it in your house oooooor use it to decorate and awesome and creepily cute Halloween treats table!
